Delayed Annual Report

Month, 2020

Accountability and transparency are regarded by SCI as vital.

SCI has submitted a delayed Annual Report to the Charity Commission in 2019 and 2020. The charity seeks to be responsible in every area of its financial management and is working hard to resolve the causes of these late submissions.

Upcoming Open Meetings on Zoom

Month, 2020

The quarterly mission and board meetings bringing together all those involved with SCI around the world are run publicly on Zoom.  All our supporters are welcome to attend these open meetings. The Field Director and the Executive Director both produce reports. The morning event runs from 10.30am to 12.30pm (UK time) dealing with the business aspects of SCI. Any supporter is welcome to ask questions and to make suggestions although only the trustees can vote on motions. The afternoon meeting from 2pm to 4pm (UK time) focus on mission and prayer. Supporters are encouraged to attend and fully participate. The timing enables supporters from the Americas and Asia to join and be involved.

The next meeting date is Saturday January 16th 2021. If you are interested in attending the morning or afternoon meeting please contact us.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are plenty of opportunities for those who feel the call to join this ministry. All our volunteers work remotely from home.

Mission Board Members

These are a group of supporters who will seek God for the needs of the work, have a passion for what we do, and a sacrificial attitude to prayer.

Trustees

We are always looking for new trustees with a variety of skills and experience to refresh and strengthen our trustee board. Charity trusteeship is not onerous but you do have a collective responsibility for the charity’s management and administration.

Treasurer

This person will work primarily with the trustees, bookkeeper, and independent examiner. The role will suit someone with good all-round financial understanding. It does not involve setting budgets. The first task will be to talk to all involved in finance, come up with an improved system to put to the trustees and once approved, implement it.

Minute secretary

We have 4 or 5 days a year when we hold a trustee and a mission board meeting. Each lasts up to two hours, using ZOOM. A minute secretary can be anywhere in the world where there is internet access. You do not need to be a native speaker but be able to understand and write in English.

If you are interested in getting involved, contact us.
